Front assist / ACC

Featured Replies

Just want to make sure I have got this right particularly as I know some dealers are miss describing cars.

1. You can get front assist without ACC

2. If  you have ACC you will definitely have front assist as well.

3. If you have ACC there will be 2 column stalks on LHS of wheel - ordinary cruise control just has the one stalk on LHS although it has additional switches compared to the single LHS stalk on non Cruise Control

4. A radar transmitter under the front bumper does not mean you have ACC - it will have the radar even if it only has front assist.

I am thinking this is the case but could someone who knows for sure please confirm or correct this.

My perspective is that I want ordinary (dumb) cruise control and no front assist - I am aware that some folk will believe that I am mad but please keep any posts about this on a separate thread.

Thanks

You are mad :p

But at least nr 3 is correct. Acc adds a second stalk left hand side.

I have front assist but only have one lhs stock, it does auto braking and tells me I'm too close to cars when I'm not lol.

So that  will be front assist but no ACC

Yeah no acc which doesn't bother me really. Where in Scotland are you?

About as far north as you can get on mainland - next stop Orkney

AFAIK your assumptions are correct.

Front assist can always be switched off in settings, that may or may not satisfy your requirements for not having it

Thanks  - thought that, but good to get it confirmed.

All of your assumptions are correct.
