Air Conditioning

Featured Replies

Whilst my car is having a service I have asked that the air conditioning is recharged.

He has done this but says there is still a fault.

Previously I had an error code showing (using Carista) odb2

Heater & air conditioning
Part #: 3T0907044AR
Component: Climatronic
Coding: 0000000002 (hex)
Fault codes:
9481988 Manufacturer-specific code

Has anyone ever come across this and what might it be?

"Manufacturer specific code" could be anything, so it means you actually need a VAG specific code reader.

Ouch on the control panel.

The Mechanic is an independent but a good one I have used for years.  He does a lot of VAG cars.  He has the correct reader and I am awaiting his return (he offers a good service he even picks the car up and drops it off afterwards).

l will see what he says.

The control panel part number is listed because that's the control unit, not because it's the fault.

An air quality sensor (if fitted) isn't going to stop the AC from working. It just shuts the air recirculation flap.
