the stars are an edited swear word.

it doesnt seem like 10 years ago.

Right Guys. I've got the splitter and I've had a good look at getting it fitted. It seems to line up pretty well and doesn't need too much brutality with the hacksaw. The work needed is:-

1. There are 20 lugs that must plug into the Leon bumper, these have a plastic barb on top that will need to filed or cut off to allow the splitter to fit flush under the Fabia bumper.

2. There are 2 support columns about 6 inches apart in the centre section, these too will need to be shortened to allow the centre to fit closer to the Fabia bumper.

3. The splitter sides are too long and would go into the wheel arch area if the small plastic flaps weren't on the Fabia bumper. I don't think the flaps need to be cut, you need to cut 40mm off each side of the splitter. This will also give you the option to put the car back to standard in the future if needed.

4. Drill 5 or 6 holes in each side of the splitter top flange in similar positions to the now removed barbs.

5. Get a brave volunteer (preferably someone you can blame if it's not straight :D ) to hold the splitter in place and mark the hole positions on the Fabia bumper. I would drill and screw the rearmost holes on both sides first and then work forwards Check for anything above holes inside the bumper before you drill. The plastic is very soft and the splitter can be pulled and flexed to get the best line-up

6. Fix with stainless steel self tappers, they only need to be 10 mm long to minimise the chance of damaging anything inside the bumper.

7. Stand back and admire how much better it looks on a Fabia than a Leon

I got mine from Autoworld Seat in Sheffield this evening - Thanks Michael!

We Need Pics :D:rofl:

Oooh - cheers for that Rich...

Just need to see pics before I trundle off to Seat to buy one!

I'll be fitting it tonight, just choosing between hammer and nails or "no nails" for the fixing method :D;)

I'd use self tapping screws that should be fine. then you can remove it.

Some nice short stubby, 10mm long self tappers should work a treat.

is there enough room to do it with the bumper on?

is there enough room to do it with the bumper on?

If not, jacking the car up and securing it on axle stands would do the trick I'm sure - need to swap my wheels over anyway...

For those that fit the Leon lip but would also like sideskirts, the skirts that come with the new Polo GTi should fit, they are the same length as the Fabia's and should fit with minimal trimming.

I got mine this morning Looks like there will be a bit more work to fit it to a normal fabia bumper than to a VRS but it will fit might take a while tho.

ill post pics when its done.

Its not so mutch work lts about maybe 20 mins work.

and for the side skirts http://www.666edition.com/scripts/index.php this side is only in englih and they have a complete XXXL Bodykit for the fabia (600

It's on  . I think it looks great, it sticks out quite a bit at the front and gives a good bit more depth to the front of the car. On a black car it still looks subtle. There is more work preparing the splitter than the actual fitting process.

Will post pics tomorrow, if I can persuade Bryand to take some for me :D

30 mins to prep the splitter, ie cutting the barbs off the mounting lugs, trimming the ends down, drilling mounting holes and cutting the barbs off the centre posts.

20 mins to get it lined up drilled into bumper and self tapped on.

Although I'm a competant mechanic I don't do many cosmetic mods, but this would be well within the ability of a novice. Take your time just keep checking the fit as you go.

If anyone wants to buy mine, they can have it for £15.
