Hey MartiniB

How does the discs and pads keep up for you? I am thinking to change them to the exact ones...

You had them on since last October:) any update?

I upgraded mine to Brembo OE discs and pads. The factory discs are awful, plus I guess the rears get used more than you think by other systems such as Lane guidance / esp / parking brake etc

A question for those who have DIY changed rear discs please - do you have to remove the caliper bracket and, if so, what tool do you need for its bolts?

ETA: no, you don't for solid discs https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/467878-rear-discs-and-pads-issue/?do=findComment&comment=5309852 Thank you @prdisaac

Note, in this wokshop manual dedicated to brakes (unless this is in the maintenance chapter, I have a slight doubt), you will also find the spec for discs and pads minimum thickness. Very useful for a quick check! ;)
