I'm looking at buying a skoda superb elegance estate mk2 and am wondering if the 1.6 cr greenline has the oomf to lug around the pa and drum kit I will carry in the boot and small trailer. I'm a little worried that it might be asking a but much of the smallish engine over the long term.

Anyone have any experience of this engine as a load lugger?

On a side note, anything I should be aware of buying a 5 year old example with about 60k on the clock?

Any replies massively appreciated.

My advice would be to test drive one, the 1.6 is a capable engine and will manage fine but the 2.0 will drive a bit better but may do a few less MPG
