DTUK box help

Featured Replies

I had to get a new plastic connector for my box because a plastic clip which holds the connector has snapped.

Of course when I pulled the wires out I realized I have forgot to take a photo of wire arrangement before.

Can anybody check how the wires go in (its the boost connector) , they are numbers on the plastic connector (1,2,3)

I have 2.0 150TDI engine if this matters.

I've got my tdi box at home, will look for you when I finish work.

Sorry, forgot yesterday, red =1, black = 2 and grey = 3.

Not related, but how do you rate your box?

Just ring Andy at DTUK ?

Box is flawless simple as that really. And customer service is above and beyond anyone I've ever dealt with.

Just ring Andy at DTUK ?

Just buy it

You won't regret it unless you don't let the car power down properly

Sorry mate, should have mentioned - I have one! I have the CRD3 system and it's absolutely fantastic...just was interested in other people's opinion.

I'm changing my car in the next couple of months, and will be getting the unit reprogrammed.

Oh right no worries man. Just thought you where considering one. I bought mine simply due to warranty. As didn't want to map it and void warranty.

I'm running program 1+3

What you running ?

Mine is a 150 DSG, running 2+2 and the difference is like night and day.

I've tried program 3 too, either +1/2, it's also good but different. Really strong low down torque, but nowhere near as linear, so it's not keen to rev out on that setting.

I like program 1 + 3 as it just makes the car feel punchy. Same as my limited Edtion Mrk 2 mapped with DPF. And as Andy has always said its driver preference.

My only criticism with the Mrk 3 is I was expecting better MPG oh and the mirrors don't catch blind spots.

My Mk2 FL vRS TSI was mapped by Shark, and it was brilliant - used to surprise so many people! I still used to get 44 mpg out of it on a steady motorway run too, which I thought was great.

I have to say, the DTUK box falsely claims the fuel economy improvements...but on a run it is better than standard - I calculated on a trip from Newcastle to London it used about £3 less fuel, so £6 per trip, but it does inflate that more on the trip computer.

In hindsight, is it improved yes...does the car feel much better than standard yes. Would genuinely recommend them to anyone.

I wouldn't blame DTUK for fuel improvements Skoda exaggerated their claims in standard form.

Had mine since April four months in and 6 thousand miles racked up and 37mpg. Granted I live in the Welsh valleys and both myself and my missis have a heavy foot. DTUK box has improved the MPG. But as my missis has been on maternity leave for a year it's hard to exactly see if the new vrs is any better on mpg.

No problem, it was sorted by dtuk staff today.

Great, really transforms the car, couldn't live without it once I have tried it.

The only criticism could be that sometimes the power is not always there.. (and some others have mentioned this before),  maybe this could be improved with pedal box, but I dont really needs this. (and removing the tuning box alone for every dealer visit is already job too much)

Oh really? I have to say that on the system I'm using (CRD3), I've got power all the way through the Rev band - it's so linear from 1900 RPM all the way to the redline, although I rarely need to push it beyond 4000. Really excellent product.

I was referring more to throttle response in certain scenarios. Sometimes it feels like there is no power as usual, but this is nitpicking.
