Has anyone upgraded the audio in their Citigo?

Featured Replies

I think I need to improve sound quality in my Citigo Elegance.

Has anyone done this? Or had it done?

Am hoping there are some 'good news stories' out there.

Do you have the 4-speaker system or the basic 2-speaker? I'm not an audiophile but I reckon the 4-speaker system is plenty good enough for day-to-day use. I have sound-proofed the boot area that probably helps a lot though.

The rear speakers are easy to install if they aren't there originally. I have upgraded Hyphons to fli speakers all round and there is a huge improvement in sound

Is the factory wiring already in place for the rear speakers?

Are the interior panels the same when the rear speakers aren't there? I thought they had solid panels without speaker grilles in them?

Our 64 reg Elegance 3-door has perforated grills in the rear panels.

I thought I had seen an interior shot of a car with no speaker grilles in the back....... But I must have been thinking of maybe another car.

Wiring isn't there no. You need to add in pins into the quadlock behind the stereo. Easiest way to do this is to strip some old pins out of an iso harness and insert them. The grilles are perforated ready to install the speakers however.
