Possibly going to need a new brake master cylinder, just wandered what sort of cost this job is??? Looking up the part online ,,, prices vary hugely .,, £45 and two year warranty or right up to £249 and one years warranty ... anyone with experience or the best place to buy from?? Thx

If it's an ATE unit you require I have a good one sitting on my shelf, surplus to brake overhaul job.

Many thx ....I'm not entirely sure what I want ... I have a mk2 Octavia tdi 140 .... occasionally I get brake travel ...pedal can go almost to the floor ... it the car is under warranty and is going back to garage for a second time since I got it.... with an idling issue when it's warming up ....so I'll have to wait and see if they are prepared to sort the brakes ....at the moment they are just telling me to go to Kwik fit for a free brake test
