Pairing problems with bluetooth

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Hoping someone can help, just bought myself a superb and am trying to setup my phone to the system.

It is a 2011 superb with the Columbus sat nav system in it, I have followed the instructions using the steering wheel and it finds my phone but when entering the code it says login not possible. I'm not sure if I'm entering the code correctly as it comes up as 1111 2222 3333 4444 but my phone will only accept a 4 digit code so I've tried one of each or different varieties but it still says not possible. The phone says that 'pairing unsuccessful please make sure it is ready to pair and try entering the code again'. I've tried resetting all factory settings but not difference. It also doesn't appear on my phones Bluetooth list as if the cars Bluetooth is set to invisible but if I pair the car to the phone it will pop up and ask for the code.

Any advice would be grearly appreciated.

Thanks

What phone are you using?

We have tried a Galaxy S5 Neo, an iPhone 6s and an iPhone 3s. They all have the same problem.

Pin code would usually be 1234. But I seem to recall someone else on here having an issue with a 16 digit code such as your. I'll have a search see if I can find anything...

Found something. Apparently there's a 3 minute time limit from switching on the ignition for the Bluetooth unit to show visibility. So turn the ignition on, and search from your phone straight away and see if you can see the kit and connect that way.

Search the forum - someone reported dead BT module.

I have an HTC One and when I set it up it asked me to enter a pin but connected fine before I got the chance to put it in!! Worked ever since

Is the Columbus set to connect within the system menue?

With any ŠKODA I've tried to pair phone to, I always find it best to search for ŠKODA BT on the phone and pair that way, rather than the car searching for phone.
