As above, they are very noisy and I am changing soon too.

While the Assymetric 3s are much quieter, they are not silent.

The sad thing is that I changed them as I was due to go on a road trip through Holland, Germany and Czech Republic and didn't want the extra noise for the duration of the trip.

When I get to Holland, the tyres are almost silent on the Dutch motorways and this is repeated on the German and Czech roads. So I probably didn't need to change the tyres before the trip after all.

The noise difference between the autoroutes in France and the M20 is staggering - every year my wife and I comment to each other what a terrible introduction the M20 is to Great Britain.

After 2 weeks of quiet driving on French autoroutes it's quite a shock how noisy the M20 is.

It does vary though. In half of Belgium, lovely smooth road. In the other half, it made the M20 feel smooth.

I got Continental Sport Contact 2 - not especially keen on them, although the grip in warm weather is pretty impressive, but noisy too.

All the 230's seem to come out on Pirelli P Zero's (225/35/19)

First time I've driven on Pirelli's and I'm quite impressed, dry/wet grip, excellent
