Mine should be getting built next week. Anyone that has received there car did it include a set of sports mats? I read on a spec list that the se sports includes sports mats but I can not find where I read that now.

It would be good if it did - think mats were optional extras though that cost £75 as far as I remember

Mine came with mats, noticed they were in the boot of the dealership car, so I didn't order any. When I picked my car up, that was already built and shipped from Emden it had mats.

I've got mats, don't think they are sports mats though.

Fingers crossed mine comes with mats too. They tried to sell me them along with the boot liner and mud flaps etc so not getting my hopes up.

I've found somewhere that sells mats and a boot liner delivered for £26, so that'll do if not.

Finally on a ship and by the looks of it, it'll reach sheerness in the morning :)

I've found a picture of the actual sill covers on the SE Sport but can't find them online. I would really like to be able to buy a matching pair for the rear doors.

What colours did you all opt for, I went for race blue, ordered 31 of Oct and told to expect delivery in 8 weeks approx.

So - I actually visited the dealer yesterday in the hope of trying to clarify why I'd not even heard a build date whereas people who have ordered since have done - the salesperson who I had bought the car from was speaking to someone else so was asked to take a seat. Someone - I'm assuming she was the manager but didn't think to check - then came out and said very matter-of-factly "we haven't got a build date yet" and seemed content to leave things at that. When I suggested I was aware of others who had ordered after me who had been given build dates, she didn't seem too sure and said that the factories had put *all* Octavia builds on hold while they update machinery etc for the facelift...when I asked for clarification that the SE Sport that I had ordered would not be a facelift one (ie. that there must be some machines left to still produce the old mark 3 models) she seemed at a bit of a loss, but assured me that as soon as I did have a build date, things would "sail through" in 6-7 weeks...I appreciate that things do not move fast in the car manufacturing world, but to describe this as sailing through seems to be a bit of an embellishment in my opinion! Plus I'm 6 weeks into my quoted 12 weeks estimated delivery date and still don't even have a build week...is it unreasonable for me to be annoyed?

She said she would ask the salesman to ring Retail Support tomorrow but she *knows* that the answer will only be the same as they can give - ie. don't know when the build week is or when they'll even be able to tell me. Is there anyone I can/worth asking myself eg. Skoda UK? Thing is I'm starting to get a little desperate as SWMBO's Fiesta's clutch has now gone, and ideally don't really want to fork out the £400 I've been quoted to fix that, knowing that my Skoda is on the way in the next few weeks! Still, don't want Skoda to know this as they may take advantage!!

Maybe start looking at what's in stock or pipeline, I.e. nearing completion or at the port.

That way you could have a car in 2 weeks.

When I was ordering mine I was offered about 8 different models that where already in the uk or on there way. Unfortunatly they were either not blue which I wanted or they were mainly petrol or had extras I was not willing to pay for. The main extra was a rear arm rest at £300. I had accepted any of them I was told I would have the car within a few weeks. My dealer had a blue 1.4 tsi estate in the showroom that I could have had within a week.

Will give my dealer a ring tomorrow to check if my car is still getting built this week.

Confused - this was free on my order and shows free on the configurator?

@groberts, was this for an estate or hatch?

Just spoke to my dealer and he confirmed being built this week and should beable to collect by end of december. Asked about facelift and he said there not changing the lines over till middle of jan once they have completed all orders for this outgoing model.....

Hatchback - How weird, it doesn't even show for the Estate. Possibly that's why it costs £300 :/

Armrest is standard on SE Sport Estate but optional on Hatch

Wish my dealer had told me the arm rest was free to add, certainly explaines why all the hatchbacks already had them fitted if they were going to be offered as a free extra, he only said they came on the estate as standard

I take it mine will not have the rear arm rest fitted now? probably to late to add it now as it is getting built this week and i do not want to delay the car any further.

It was automatically added on the configurator for my Hatchback, so imagine it's already in there.

I just noticed it was so hopefully it will be included, the only other thing that is now worrying me, on the configurator red upholstery is already selected first and you have to change it to black, I just rang my dealer and he says black is standard when they order using there system but he will confirm this tomorrow. If it does not come with the arm rest i will let that go but I dont want red upholstery on a blue car.....

....., but mpg is late 50's early 60's so no complaints on that front. .....

Petrol or Diesel?

I'm kind of guessing diesel as that sounds too good to be true for a petrol.

Pity though that the diesel option is the 1.6 rather than the 2.0. OK It's not the sportiest car out but the 2.0 would seem more appropriate.

Perhaps Skoda were concerned a 2.0 sport would hurt VRS sales. Yes  I am aware that a 2.0 Diesel Sport would still be a couple of rungs below the VRS Diesel but it would nudge it just a bit closer.

I'm coming from a 130 PD VRS which at it's best, came back with about 54 MPG however I had a VW Bora with the exact same engine in that came back with 74 MPG on long runs.

I imagine no matter what, for the first few months at least, you'll get crap economy as the engine beds in but it'll get better. Then it's a matter of how you drive it.

I sincerly hope I get better than 42 MPG which I get from my VRS at the moment

Some great PCH deals on the 1.4 TSI SE Sport right now, all cars in stock ready for immediate delivery too (10,000 miles per annum)...

Hatch - £2,490 deposit, 23 months @ £109 = £4,997 or £208 per month all in.

Estate - £2,490 deposit, 23 months @ £129 = £5,457 or £228 per month all in.

Great value.

It's a diesel, much as I would like a petrol, my daily commute is a 64 mile round trip so diesel makes more sense.

Finally got the call, the car is coming off of the transporter tonight and I'll be going to sign documents hopefully tomorrow with the aim of picking up on Saturday :)
