Engine Shake & Misfiring - Hard brake pedal - SOLVED

Featured Replies

Hello Guys,

I hope this info help any of you if you have a similar symptom

I have a 2002 Octavia 1.8T  AGU code engine. TMBAL41U928549

Yesterday I was feeling that the engine was misfiring, shaking at idle and the brakes also feel strange, I need to push harder in order to brake.

When open the hood, I was hear a strong hissing air noise.  I found a PCV Pipe that goes under the intake manifold broke. This Pipe goes attached to the brake booster pipe that's provide vacuum to the Brake Booster. Since it was loosing vacuum pressure that's was the problem I was to push harder in order to brake

I fixed with strong tape and the engine misfiring/shake problem goes away and the brakes work well.

I need your help guys, can you help me with this pipe part number?  Pipe is the one with the red arrow. This is not a rubber hose, is a hard plastic pipe and I will need the part number to order on ebay.

Thank you for your help

Isaac
