Is it possible to Get VIM without using VCDS ?

Hopefully with USB or CD maybe.

Not possible .... even with VCDS

Possibe with this P&P solution.

You can switch it off by long press of left roller on steering wheel.

If You have Samsung S7 or S6 or HTC P8 it is possible to use FULL mirror link during driving without limitations.

This company has as well P&P Android modules...

I've read a few times that OBDeleven can do it. Not tried it myself and I don't know if it's for all VAG cars of just certain models.

This is true, and it's available as a one-touch pre-programmed app using OBD11.

 

However, I'm trying to find a manual long-coding version, so I can program mine the long way.... because I don't have enough of the OBD credits saved up just yet, to use the one-touch app.

 

I'm yet to find any step-by-step instructions on hos to do this.  Can anyone help?

Would be cheaper to buy an android tablet and use something like Mobdro app. And wouldn't have an warranty issues.
