Fault: Vehicle Lighting

Featured Replies

Hello, I am worried about my 2015 model Octavia III 2.0 TDI (CFK),

Because today I had my battery measured as I was getting a warning that my battery is getting weaker, so they pulled of my battery pulse to count it. Unfortunately I lost all settings and I had to fix and adjust everything again, (radio etc).

Now the only problem is that my left front window doesn't go up in one move but I have to keep on holding continuous the button so it can fully wind up and most importantly that worries me more is that, I got an indication that doesn't go away saying:

"Fault: Vehicle Lighting", and all my lights stay on even though my light switch is turned off. The only time all lights go off (front and rear) is when I switch off the engine and pull out the key.

I have no auto light system on the car to turn off, so I assume it needs a computer update/clearing of faults by a Skoda garage.

Can someone please help.

Regards,

Chris.

are all the bulbs actually OK?

The left window thing: try dropping the window all the way. Hold the button down for 2 seconds when it's at the bottom. Then bring it all the way up and hold the button there for two seconds. Should then work with one-shot again. The top / bottom markers are lost when the battery is disconnected so a one-shot up or down can't work. At least, this is the way I have to do it on my Audi, I expect Skoda to be the same.

I truied that method when the one-touch wouldn't work on my nearside front window but it didn't work.

Some surfing revealed that on the MQB cars it's usually necessary to release and press the button more than once when the window is at each end stop (i.e. stopped at the top and the bottom) - that fixed it for me.
