Three Years, final payment tomorrow.

Featured Replies

Well, the three years PCP is up tomorrow and the final payment will be made.

Three years have flown by and my relationship with Bismark has been pretty much excellent with only two small issues to mar the whole experience.

I still enjoy the drive and she has proven to be a great all rounder, very happy.

I will celebrate by giving Bismark a wash and wax tomorrow and look forward to the next however many years...

Keeping it for a good while yet then?

You're just up the road from us (Crawley) and we're soon to be in the same boat with our green vRS. Passed the car to my wife and I now drive a Civic Type R, which does the quick stuff brilliantly, but as an all-rounder it's terrible!

Love my Octy - had originally planned to get rid, but I can't think of anything that comes close that ticks all the boxes.....

Same here last week!

First time in 12 years I've kept one. Partly down to not good enough part ex deals, facelift arriving next year (if they do a vRS), and the fact that someone was going to get a good car with only 40000 miles on it......so I thought it may as well be me!

Mine got treat to a polish as well!

Yes buddy. Being an early buyer I got the free servicing and 0% which helps to take a little of the sting out of what is now a negative equity situation.

Tbh, I went into it 'eyes open' not believing the sales person for a minute when he said it would be worth more than the settlement figure. I did ponder updating it to a newer one a while back but it's good spec, low mileage, great colour (feel free to laugh) and still in great condition so I am more than happy to keep her.

To keep things a bit fresh I will buy a DTUK box and might change the wheels (again) and find someone locally with VCDS to do a couple of bits for me.

It still gives me a good smile per mile rating so she's a keeper

In the end, that is all that matters..

I plan to pay mine off in another 15 months and keep it for a few years yet. I'd rather do that than start the depreciation again from scratch for a similar car.

I will be doing similar in 6 months time. I got a similar deal on mine.

Got a DTUK box, I won't use, here if you wanted to try one.     I have no idea what the equity situation will be like with mine, as its petrol, but like you and some others, I really don't know what I sensibly would replace it with. As mine is just over 20k at the moment, it should do me for a bit. ;)

Hmmm, alas the Skoda depreciation curve seems to be a lot steeper than other marques.

How much of that is due to the VW emissions fraud is open to debate.

Indeed, I suspect not much. Skoda aren't bad cars these days and have come a long way but sadly I think their past is what many potential secondhand buyers remember, not the present...

Don't get the tuning box without the pedal box, it really brings the car to life

D'oh silly me with my tuning box offer. Please ignore me, the one I have is for a petrol VRS.
