That's correct. You'll need VCDS (or a visit to a garage) to get it put back onto variable service intervals.

Done - was quite easy, just needed to change oil type from "poor quality oil" to "good quality oil" in one of the adaptation channels of the Instruments module (or something along those lines).

My pre FL tells you how to reset the service reminder in the manual.

Hi folks.

This is an old post but the problem with French mechanics is still out there.

My Yeti came back after service indicating a 1year/15km service interval though it should be 2year/30k service interval. 

Norauto here in France took over an hour before finding the right setting after a service.  Aparently the OBD plugged computer thing that the garage has, has to be put "QG2" mode and voila. It normally defaults to something else
