It´s annoying, yes, but come on - it´s not unsafe! You can just manually lower the seat again.

Yes but I still, can get refund for  option wich I paid " seat memory" which does not work.

The option without seat Memory is better for me because this will  always stay in the positon which I left. My car always change the seat position when I come back.

U can change this in the Setup setting so it doesn't always change...

I tried reading the manual but was still struggling to get mine set up, so when I attended the local Kodiaq VIP event I had a word with one of the salesmen, who got me sorted in no time

Get in, start engine, move seat to where you want it, press the set button once on its own (no need to hold it), then press appropriate memory number button and hold until you hear the beep to confirm

Hope it works for you

You may want to get this booked into your dealer for a progam update.

I had same problem - dealer could not understand it, thought i was mad, then they could not do it - all it needs is a connection to mainframe to overwrite the program.  job done.

Also be aware it only memorizes setting to the master key (the silver one).

So I have 3 keys and I never use the silver one so its pretty useless really.

So you cant have his and her keys with different memory settings? Just googled and you can.

Hi All. I am new here and having exactly the same problem. Got a 2016 Superb a month ago. Seat memory worked until like 2 days ago. There were 2 drivers set up. This morning I adjusted seat to a better position, tried to store as 2 and did not hear the 'beep'. The I tried to move to position 1. Did not move. Tried to move to 'original' position 2. Did not move. I tired to reset seat (moving back of the seat to the maximum forward position). There was a 'beep' that would indicate seat memory reset, but it still does not 'beep' when trying to store the position in memory. I am going to book her in for a check up, but maybe someone managed to overcome the issue?

Thanks!

Just to add some more details:

1. pressing set and the number does not do anything (no beep)

2. deactivating key stored position does not do anything (car open with key1, set pressed and unlock key on key1 pressed - no beep)

3. same attempted with key2 - never used before (well, not by me) - no result

4. in seat settings (CAR menu) Key activated is active, and there is no way do de-activate it

5. memory reseted using all full forward done, when seat back moved full forward there was a beep, but did not fix the issue.

I read all the related threads on different forums and saw quite a number of post from ppl who tried to fix it withe known methods and did not manage to. One thing I did not try is unplugging the battery. Is the visit at the dealer only option? Car is still under warranty.

Please help.

Have you tried a 2 second press of the the set button then your memory button  dont do both at the same time don't press set for too long either it seems to confuse the system all together

Reset sequence  is

Seat base all the way forward

Rear of seat base all the way up

Seat back all the way forward that should clear all setting and allow you to reset to your seating position

This is how i sorted mine out for me going to the stealer is a p.i.t.a

Mine now stores seat position for me and the missis but doesnt work from the key that can be sorted when service is due

Mk2 was easy straight forward

Mk3 everything is more complex you need a degree in skoda to work anything

Far too complicated

All i had to do on mk2 was set eveything how i wanted it and get out lock it an voila ! Set

Why oh why cant it be that simple on mk 3

Oh the joys of modern motoring !!!

Thanks man. Yes, I tried both options. with the reset thru sea position I hear the beep, this would indicate the op was successful. Still will not work tho. Yes, it is MK3, so seems like stealer visit in inevitable. On top of that the computer screen gives me some grief. Sometimes it acts funny not reacting to touches (or dial) or picking sth that was not touched/clicked/etc.

I will post if I learn sth more elsewhere.

To activate seat memory move the seat base all the way forward

Lift the rear lower seat base up as far as it will go

Move seat back to full forward position

Seat memory should now be activated

You should now hear the boing tone from reset

Ive had the same problem with saving seat settings as everyone reporting this issue. Had it back to the dealers who have booked it in to check it out. Tried your solution and it has worked a treat. Thank you.

I switched personalization off and on again and the memory seat worked fine :)

I find you have to press the set button and then press the 1 or 2 button within ten seconds. It won't work if you press both together.

You should know when it's set as you get a tone.

And the manual still has it wrong in 2018: it says "Press the  SET A Fig. 84 button and then, within 10 seconds, press the desired memory button B.  Storing is confirmed by an acoustic signal."  The garage I got the car from took the car in for two days to find the problem, said that it was OK then were astonished when I showed them what the manual said.  The manual is, of course, correct for a S2 car which is what I had previously.

Yes you can. But I've noticed it sometimes gets very confused when both fobs are in the car at the same time and you switch between drivers. It can be resolved by turning off personalisation then turning it on again and assigning the right fob to the right driver. Never had a problem if only one fob is present at the time.

We have a Superb II that has the same issue and a scan shows fault "02344 Seat Position memory store switch  (E447) mechanical malfunction - intermittent". We also have fault "01901 - lumbar support height adjustment motor (V229) open circuit - intermittent"

I will try the above suggestions, but it sounds like we might need a new switch and to check for loose wiring on the lumbar motor.

Thanks ! This worked for me - I moved the seat all the way forward, then increased height to limit, then took it all the way back. Good to hear the bongs!
