I've been away from home a lot recently due to starting a new job so not getting as much time as I want on this. Managed to get a few days sorted and heading in the right direction now.

 

The loom is now completely out of the Ibiza.. Also managed to get the firewall out using a heat gun

The airbag has been removed from the steering wheel, and used the Ibiza's clocks' electronics with the Fabia dials to get the red back lighting. Also swapped the motor for the fuel gauge so hopefully it'll go in the right direction now as the Ibiza fuel dial is the "wrong" way round

Managed to get some free time last week and over the weekend;

 

A/C pump + pipes are in;

 

 

 

Firewall back in;

 

 

Next jobs are to swap steering rack and power steering pump over from the Ibiza. Can start on the wiring as well and the dash.

 

I have unfortunately got a broken wrist so will see how much I can do in the mean time.

Depends if you want some drive shafts as part payment?

Full airtek hard pipe and FMIC. Forge TB pipe too. Also Forge oversize TIP. Possibly Forge 007 too.

Been a while since the last update, just not had time unfortunately but as she is booked on to the 6th of Nov track day it's probably time to get on with it.

 

 

 

Would be so much easier if the engine runs

 

Steering rack off the Ibiza;

 

New tie rod ends fitted;

 

In the process of dropping the subframe for the ibiza rack to be fitted, also swapping the power steering pump.

 

Ordered a new a/c rad, ball joints etc. Also getting some goodies on Wednesday which should improve a few bits

As it's peeing down today we got on with some of the other things needed - swapped the Ibiza climate control electronics etc into mk2 fabia a/c control case so it'll fit in the dash. Had to cut a bit of the centre console bit but it fits. This is only temp, will sort it properly later on;

Getting there but currently feels like one step forward and 5 backwards..

 

 

 

Solid Ibiza Cupra bushes along with powerflex wishbone;

 

 

 

Steering rack done and installed again;

 

 

New wishbones ordered and installed this evening;

Haha, I know right! That'll be perfect mate, wasn't sure if you needed them.. Was going to try and make my own but will save a lot of time if I have them

Did some more stuff this weekend - trying to get everything to fit currently. The Ibiza crash bar sits out further than the fabia one it seems - clears the pipework fine but pushes bumper out a bit too much so need to get that sorted, other than that doesn't look too bad;

It could also be down to the size of the photos as some of them are quite big.
