surfboards on a fabia vrs?

Featured Replies

I need to find out if there is a way to carry surfboards on the roof of a fabia vrs. I have tried to download the brochure on the skoda website but computer say's no and keeps crashing.

Would anyone be kind enough to post relevant pics of what I need to buy if there is such a thing?

Thanx, Pix :)

Any reason why you can't use a standard roof rack?

Just get some roof bars and strap it on !!!????? Rather obvious to me !!

The roof rack is a standard Thule one so I would suspect that the Thule accessories would fit.

I have the issue 04/05 brochure here - dunno how accurate the prices are but -

Part number LBT 071 028 £85 is a surfboard carrier.

It is shown on an estate so you would also need roof bars.

I've got thule aero bars. Then just got some strap from homebase for £10 ish and strapped the board (in it's bag) straight to the bars. I had a bike carrier either side of this and had no problems from Surrey to Newquay. Still got 42mpg with all that extra drag.

I'll be doing the same thing with skis in march.
