My Furbies vRS has been Superchipped for well over a year but I have said on several occaions that it lacks somthing....Somthing is Missing. If I go for a custom re-map will the car have to be put back to standard or can it be re-mapped with the superchip in place I have the original "Brain" in a memory card......Cheers Andy.

That's probably one to ask your mapper really Andy although my guess is they would prefer to start with a clean slate.

If you were to go to Jabba, as an example, they will very likely charge you more if the car already has a map on it as it involves extra labour time for them.

Plus this 'something missing' may be a fault with the car rather than the map and a custom re-mapper would do a diagnostic check on the engine before they started tuning work; and by far the easiest way to do a proper diagnostic check is when all the parts are factory standard so they have set guidelines to work with.

I believe Custom Code will remove a Superchip for free if you get a remap with them. YMMV.

all any mapper is doing is going over the original map, so it would be exactly the same process to go over the superchips one. Ring around and ask for definite answers.

Or you could get Superchips to custom map it for you
