Vrs 4x4 Mudflaps

Featured Replies

Just purchased a Vrs 4x4 Estate and was hoping to fit rear mud flaps. The dealer has said that due to the 4x4 Skoda have said they will not fit them!

Is there any reason it will effect the 4x4? Will be purchasing form superskoda.

Thanks in advance

I dont think there is a problem.

But read the thread on this page 'pics of a meteor grey estate with mudflaps'.

Genuine skoda mud flaps do fit and up to now have caused no issues on mine.

They shouldn't cause any problem. The dealer told me they weren't an option on a normal vRS hatch either. But I have fitted them, there was no issues fitting them and there have been no issues since  they were fitted.

I can't imagine that there is anything that would be damaged or effected by adding them. Think that I will just plod on and get them done locally.

Car gets delivered on Friday, can't wait.

Save a bit of cash and do them yourself. It won't take long honest. And the come with instructions if you're not sure how they fit. Also we're here haha.

You do need to drill holes in the plastic wheel arch liners at the front but the plastic is so soft, I did it with just the drill bit in a hand chuck. The rest is screws that are already there and a clip.

Yeh, Skoda don't seem to like them on the vRS for some reason.

Fitted Superskoda ones (which are OEM) to my 2014 2WD vRS hatch and now to my 2016 4x4 vRS hatch with 19", with no issues at all. Their not 100% perfect fit, but pretty good overall.

Think I jacked up the back to get more clearance and took off the front wheels, as my 90-degree drill head wasn't quite short/small enough.

Enjoy the car !

It has nothing to do with 4x4. But the difference between RS and others.

My 1.8TSI 4x4 was ordered with mudflaps and there where no complains from Skoda or dealer.
