Good find

I have just compared it to the Seat Ateca and the doors and roofline appear identical.  The front wings also appear to be same.  Obviously the main change is the rear side window which is kodiaq shaped rather than than the tapered version in Seat.

My guess is it will have inside and dashboard from facelifted Octavia or Kodiaq.

Assuming this is new Yeti then it will be longer at 4.36m instead of 4.22m.  Bit bigger than now, but not so stupidly large that it doesn't fit standard parking spaces which in U.K. are minimum 4.8m x 2.4m

I could live with that as long as the internal space is on a par with the existing Yeti.

Having had cars like the Audi A6 estate I'm fine with the looks and will probably be happy with a change of look from the existing Yeti when I come to change in a couple of year's time.

  • A shame if it does.  The Yeti made its fanbase by being different - perhaps Škoda haven't got the b@lls to do a worthy follow-up.  BUT we won't know until we see it officially, will we ?

  • Exactly true! But it is also the reason it has such a loyal following amongst those who don't always want to be one of the herd. One major attribute of the Yeti is it's space efficiency in packaging s

  • Perhaps because it's not far off the mark.

I see the main brake lights but Not a high level gleam.

I sat in a new ateca today at the showroom today and was impressed with looks and the interior spaceboot size, etc etc but interior was a bit gloomy with dark head lining and no sunroof.i cant really see the point of having a skoda yeti looking almost identical to the Ateca.Yes a slight change at the front for better fuel consumption for people wanting a YETI replacement but keeping WITH the distinct shape and size wise this misses the mark appearing a lot bigger/bulkier but if want a bigger car/boot etc this is an option amongst many others or if your commited to the box shape theres still the kia soul about for a while.

I thought I'd play with the configurator for a Dacia Logan MCV (a nice conventional estate but I know no more about it than that). Top of the range with pretty much all the options including rear camera and integrated sat-nav and change from £12,000. Makes you think doesn't it?

Rubbish NCAP crash test results though, same for the Duster too. Way behind the game. That alone would stop me looking at them.

Also sat in an Ateca and although quite nice the interior was gloomy to the extreme, just too dark for me and no option for a lighter headliner or seating. The window design also made the rear passenger area particularly 'enclosed' and dark. I checked the interior space and it was not any bigger than the Yeti, The Yeti's square shape does provide very efficient internal packaging by maximising usable space. Ateca is a nice car but now one of the many SUV clones that will include the new Yeti if the latest spy shots are accurate.

Have now ordered a new 1.2 Tsi DSG SE-L Driver Yeti with a few options, made week 8 and dealer called me today to tell me car is now in UK and they are awaiting delivery.
