DSG 6-speed 'Campaign'

Featured Replies

My S3 Estate is in for its first long term service today and the Dealer has told me it the subject of two campaigns.  One to do with the DSG and the other something to do with the rear wash wipe.  The Service drone was not clear about either of them, so has anyone else come across these yet and have more info?

When I get the chance I will try to get the campaign codes.

Do they show on here?

http://master.skoda-auto.com/mini-apps/recall-actions

Have Skoda UK Customer Services send you the full  details of any Service Campaign / Recall Actions if there are any.

There are recent threads on a further Service Campaign on 7 Speed Twin Dry Clutch DSG.

In the Rapid Section & General Maintenance section.

Maybe the excellent Tech that is on this forum might know more on a 6 Speed DSG Service Campaign if there is one.

Oh George, compliments on Valentine's Day

(unless you were referring to someone else :dull:)

If the OP wishes to PM their chassis number I will have a look into said campaign.

Its the first I've heard on the 6 speed dsg.

My VIN doesn't show as having a relevant recall on that site but maybe it won't being non-UK.  I had my 15,000 km service recently with nothing mentioned about any recall.  I'm very curious now.

Probably Service Campaigns rather than recalls, just checked my VIN and no outstanding recalls

Expected the car back tonight but the Virtual Pedal has failed and needs a new module......

another day in the Octy 3 then....

Hopefully I can get the codes off the form when I collect it as it seems no one else can find anything about the DSG on the system apart from the service campaigns rear washer pipe and door trim.  Nothing on the Škoda systems either.  I thought the DSG was only on the 7-sp dry plate but we'll see.

What's the campaign on the rear wash? Only asking as I find it particularly poor. I'm suffering with the door trims too, but it's not so bad I won't wait until the first service. More pressing in our case are the electric shocks my wife keeps getting from the nearside doors () and the factory having forgotten to finish painting the nearside door handles (they feel like sandpaper, no clear coat). I keep saying I'll get around to booking it in... I suppose it's easier to forget when the problems aren't on your side.

OK finally got the car back.

The campaigns are to check and if necessary replace part of the rear hose (well that's what I was told!) and the Drivers side screenwash nozzle assembly.  That nozzle has been replaced and the driver's side now gets a proper spray rather than a dribble!

The second one was the door trim issue.

The DSG thing seems to be something the dealer was doing and not a 'campaign' though the Master Tech said that it could do with a reprogram and the auto stop/start trigger being changed to when the car stops.  It was agreed that the gear shift points need improving but that needs Škoda to do something about it.  So I'm no further forward with finding out exactly why DSG was on the service sheet!

The radar controlled virtual pedal is still inop despite new hardware, so that is now with Škoda Technical to work out what has failed.  The failed hardware is going to be fitted to their Tiguan to see what is wrong - though if new bits haven't made mine work again, that seems a puzzling approach!
