I own a Yeti MK2 with the 1.5 Euro 6 Diesel engine fitted. It is a great car even better that my MK1. With the new engine it has to be topped up on occasion with Adblu, an exhaust cleaner. I topped mine up with lashing of Adblu but the ,"top up" warning will not go out. So anyone out there with a few pearls of wisdom to save a trip to my Skoda dealer.

Thanks, IAMGEOB.

I somehow doubt you have a MKII, they are not available until late this year or early next year at the earliest.

I suspect what you have is the Facelift, they were available from 2013.

I take it when you topped up the Adblue you turned the ignition on for 30 seconds without starting the engine so the top up could be registered as per the manual. Also it's a 2.0 diesel engine.

I reckon this probably an easy mistake for people to make

OK Urrell I stand corrected, it's a 150ps engine not 1.5ltr and a facelift L&K. still the same question. After I topped up with Adblu I still cannot shift the "top up" amber warning. I followed the handbook as regards the 30 second ignition on instruction.

IAMGEOB.

How much Adblue did you put in, it has to be over 4½lts I believe to reset.
If you filled the tank from a low warning and left ignition on for 30 seconds it seems like a problem with the Adblue system registering the contents, and I believe not the first here.

Reported to Mods to move to the correct section.

Answer to query:

It happens that way some times. If you leave the car for a while it should rectify itself. The first time I did mine I only put the VAG bottle in and it reset after a couple of miles.

I decided to play with new toy again today. No warnings and maxidot saying there was enough adblue left for 3000 miles. Filled up to top from 10ltr container using a perfect funnel for the job (draper from eBay). I would guesstimate that I used between 3 and 4 litres. Switched on for 30 secs plus then started engine and rechecked the range which said 4500 miles. Car done about 3000 from new but not sure if anyone had ever topped it up before. Minor traces of adblue residue suggested it might have been topped up before.
