What concerns me a little is that if you have already lowered the car (say 25mm with Eibachs) isn't fitting this going to be dangerous for clearence as it is little enough as it is ? Looking at the initial fitted picture, the clearence looks mighty low next to the wheels. Has this been an issue ? Just a thought.

No. The suspension compresses and stiffens during manouvers. I've gone airborne and landed into a rear-end skid @ 60mph, without 'bottoming out'.

However, I'd avoid ploughed fields ;)

The bar sits inboard of the rear axle beam, so it has enough clearance. The photo I took seems like it's very close to the wheels but it's just the angle.

I've just had a few days away in the Lakes, with a heavy suitcase in the boot & had no problems.
