Another recommendation for the Rear Anti Roll Bar

Featured Replies

Fitted mine this morning (with a stinking hangover!).

Nice easy job apart from the clamps have to be shaped to the beam & can be a bit frustrating (see my first comment!)

Took it out for a test drive & was amazed. Understeer is a thing of the past - turns in much more positively & with more control.

Top mod!

Another well recommended mod from Jabbasport.

No disrespect to Jabbasport, but I had to remove the sticker! (the type face wasn't to my liking)

Comes of remarkably easy, doesn't it? ;)

Nice one Jon. I knew you'd like it!

I'll second that. Got mine fitted yesterday, and been looking for twisty roads ever since. Works well on a vRS with standard springs/shocks, and I think it would benefit any Fabia. It may be a lot of money for a bit of bent metal, but it's cheap in relation to what it does for the car.

I want one. :(

How much would one of these lovelys be then and are they a diy fitment?

Oh no, not another group buy on the horizon.

I was so determined to keep this car standard(ish)

I think I have the only one finished in "underseal black"

Thats a stealth ARB on yours m8 :D

And if you need to convince the bank manager, Tom, here's a side-by-side comparison (Yashicamat without ARB, Shifty with. You know the corner.)

Cheers Bryan. I have the vid!

But not one of mine unfortunately :(

That's quite a difference!! GOing to order one for the Octy next week (payday on Friday!)

'Wuss'. ;)

Looks pretty impressive.

Sorry to bring this back, but is this an easy enough job for someone who knows nothing to do? (ie me)

Or should I be giving it to someone with brains?

When Stu & I fitted mine we had severe fun getting the bolt to come out on the driver side to allow the bar to get fitted. Had to basically use the thread to move it in/out.

Second bit of fun was the shaping. Stu ended up shaping it round the bar minus the U-shaped metal bit + the plastic bit, took a fair bit of doing that. Once the shaping had been done he then undid it & sorted out the rest from there.

My problem with the difference in handling is that I had all suspension related stuff done at the same day so it was just a massive improvement all-over.

It's

It isn't that difficult.

Make sure you have the correct spanners and a decent Jack/Axle Stands.

As WW says, bend the clamp around the rear beam first.

yep..

the clamps are the biggest pain..

other than that, you can do it without even taking the wheels off :D

Can someone upload this video please?

Try this link but be patient: it is an 8.5 MByte .MOV file.

Thanks :)

What concerns me a little is that if you have already lowered the car (say 25mm with Eibachs) isn't fitting this going to be dangerous for clearence as it is little enough as it is ? Looking at the initial fitted picture, the clearence looks mighty low next to the wheels. Has this been an issue ? Just a thought.
