It did, even this episode makes references to previous programmes so despite its claims, it aint the first ever episode of Top Gear. Interesting none the less.

I did a search on google videos for Top gear 1989, and it comes up with 3 episodes. Episode 3's first item is a review of the "New Skoda Favorit".

I have managed to download all 3 clips, they are 120MB average each one. They play fine in videolan player.

Yes I saw the Favorit one... mannyo how can you download them as opposed to just viewing them in IE? Cheers

Think they've got the date wrong on the Google download page - in the exec car test they're all F-plates. Wasn't F from August 87-July 88? And I'd imagine all three manufacturers would have given TG new demos? :confused:

That RS500 was great (and amazingly primitive!), from the days when touring car racing was good to watch.

Tiff's driving was great. The film showed all his foot work and busy on steering wheel, love the bit that he claimly recover from a mistake. Great stuff.
