Hello all, i will be shortly fitting Bilstein B12 shocks with eibach to my fabia and couldn't find any detailed guides. Is there anything else i should buy/do in order to fit it properly?.

Should i buy new top mounts/bearings,use old ones ect?. Torque settings ?. Any magic tools required ?.

 

Are these the correct top mounts for the fabia mk1 vrs ?.

I have B12's on my 2.0, I just replaced everything that wears out, both ball joints, track rod ends, top mounts, bearings, console bushes, drop links, ARB bushes, the lot really since it's all coming off to fit them and parts are cheap. I did need a new set of gaiters since mine were torn to pieces. The other advantage is that you can completely assemble the B12 front struts and simply swap them for the standard struts without even bothering to compress the old springs to remove bits. I just tossed mine in the bin but some people like rusting lumps of metal propping up the garage, you don't need anything for the rears at all, you can reuse the top mounts and bolts on the back.

I have new top mounts/bearings, new rear bump stops. Ill get the other bit soon if they dont cost much.

 

How does it handle after fitting the B12's ?.

Like a tarmac rally car, very fast and flat, ideal for brutal British 'B' roads, floats over the bumps, the only limitation now is the stiffness of the shell.

Thats extremely good to hear. I have the whiteline rear ARB on (stiffest setting) made a huge difference to the handling. 

 

Is it worth getting poly-bush console bushes or just new OE ones?. If theres a way to increase steering feel would be nice.

Get poly-bushes, they're much easier to fit and improve steering feedback no end, my Whiteline RARB is on the middle setting, it still cocks a wheel but is more predictable in the wet.
