Virtual Pedal Changes

Featured Replies

I have just worked out why my boot was occasionally closing automatically whilst I was loading/unloading. On the original my 2015 car the virtual pedal only opened the boot. On this MY17 it both opens and closes using the virtual pedal!

My foot/feet must have been far enough under the rear bumper as to trip the sensor doh! Does anyone ever read the whole manual, especially second time around. :blush

I have also noticed that both the virtual pedal and KESSY are much more reliable; work first time every time. Much better than on my MY15.

Perhaps they'll put a 2017 version on mine when it's finally sorted.  I now have 'test parts' from a Tiguan!

.........which still doesn't work!

My dashcam installer nearly had his head caved in when the boot kept trying to close on his head on my 17 reg.

Mine is 2016, I could have sworn it closed using virtual pedal when I first got it. Now it only opens with it..

Beginning to wonder if I dreamt the whole thing :D unless Skoda have installed an update when it went in, without telling me..

Edit: mine came with a TV tuner but wasn't listed as an option so I guess mine's probably a late registered MY15 model

Can't get mine to work at all. New functionality giving me splinters from scratching my head.

I just got a couple of videos, not sure which system you have but maybe it'll help. On my car virtual pedal is called "Easy Open" so you have to make sure it's activated in the menu...

Then as you can see from this somewhat hilarious attempt, it can be a little temperamental... I tried to shut it with my foot but as described my car won't do it as its 2016, have to use the button!

The car has to be locked (I think), with the key in your pocket etc.
