I have read somewhere that ESP must be switched off next put in 1st gear while clutch is pressed then gas and see it how much the rpm will go.

I'm guessing as the UK EU VAG are doing this fix on the cheap, compared to the US, that we can expect fixed cars to need most of the parts in the video at some point. with the dealers adding markup and fitting labour it should bring enough money in to offset what there spending In the US ;) .
