I've just tried to update my Columbus' speed camera database using my PocketGPSWorld subscription. Unfortunately the link provided by @BillyJim for the German site now returns a 404 not found error.  Has anyone else bumped into this and found a working page yet? I've tried to find a working page using Google etc, but the only results/links available are for the page that's now missing. VW seem to have re-done their website with a new layout etc, but their search button doesn't work and I haven't found anything about POI while navigating around it manually. Oh dear. 

 

Edit: I've now emailed Skoda UK about getting the Skoda POI site fixed but I won't hold my breath...

Alas, it's back... Typical. I must have caught them mid-update or something. It was just redirecting to a swish 404 page not found earlier, no matter which browser or method I tried. All is now well with the world, panic over. Thanks guys.

It's all changed on the VW site. You can't access the original page anymore. 

There is a system for doing so on the English VW site but you have to register for it and that requires a VW VIN.

Just finished successfully processing and downloading my PocketGPSWorld camera POI's via the German VW site

Walpole, thanks for that link, it worked.

I did however have to replace the metainfo.txt file with an old one which I have attached for others to use as necessary.

If you don't replace it the update will not work when you put the card into your Columbus.

You just need the POI file downloaded from the VW site and the attached file in the root directory.
