Keeping interior clean

Took delivery of our new Octy last week and want to keep on top of cleaning. What do people use to clear those annoying scuffs on the bottom of the door, keep the infotainment screen clear of finger marks, etc.? Would a pack of good ol' baby wipes do the trick, they seam to be great for most cleaning jobs?!?

Cheers,

Jamie

I keep a pack of anti-bacterial wipes in my glove box at all times! They get rid of pretty much all the grime you could create inside the cab and also work well on the frame of the door if you get a bit of mud on there when getting into the car. I also keep a microfibre cloth in the car too, they are good at getting rid of the dust that can build up on the dash or the infotainment screen!

I have a few MF cloths & a detail brush kept in the vehicle, I always use these products:

https://www.ezcarcare.co.uk/collections/interior-cleaner/products/1-litre-sleek-satin-interior-dressing-cleaner-daily-deal?variant=45625181258

https://www.infinitywax.com/infinity-wax-1-step-interior-cleaner-500ml.html

or this

All are very good & leave a great matt/satin oem finish (that new car look) & instantly dry to the touch while protecting the dashboard B)

Don't spray the stereo screen, spray the product on the MF cloth & then clean the screen

What scuffs do you mean at the bottom of the door? I use a quick detailer spray

Great stuff, cheers Batvan!

There always seems to be marks on the bottom on the door left by feet as people get out of my cars!

Cheers,

Jamie

I was cleaning the windows today and noticed that if I sprayed a microfibre cloth with Invisible Glass, it worked quite well on the plastic along the door frame and the speaker grill. And the shiny plastic bits, too. Eventually, the whole interior got a wipe down.

You know the character in the Charlie Brown cartoon, Pig Pen? Continually walks around in a cloud of dust? Well, my darling wife is the female version.

I hoover the car matts indoors, but use a Dustbuster in the car, because I can't get electric to it. If you persist, and occasionally resort to fingertips, it does an okay job. But, I noticed a micro-environment starting to grow between her seat and the door sill. Couldn't find an attachment small enough to get in there.

Finally, if found that with an old toothbrush for the bigger gaps, and a small artist's stiff bristle oil painting brush (the wife's), I could move the debris to an area where the Dustbuster could suck it up.

Finished off using Rain-X on the outside glass and a wipe down with Meguiar's Quik Ultimate Detailer. Nice.
