My sportline 190 dsg 1 week old 400 miles on the clock.

 

3 times today , error message "check day running lights". Well I did and they were "running". Stopped the engine and restarted. Ok for a few miles and then , error message again.

WTF is going on. So much tech in this car , so much to go wrong.

 

Any ideas? back to the dealer for investigation.?

Sounds like a loose connection or something. Maybe check if the connectors at the back of the headlights are secure. If they are bring it back to the dealers.

This may not be a fault - I can trigger the collision warning on a local "B" road. After a RH bend the road on the left widens into a one car sized pull off terminating at a wall at right angles to the road.  I've also had false overtaking warnings in driving rain with the the wind/rain overtaking the car.

A passing Wood Pigeon caused mine to try an emergency stop on a dual carriageway!  It does sound like you do gave electronics issues and it needs Dealer intervention.  BUT!  Unless an error code has been logged, don't expect them to find the issue.  Most Dealers (and not just Škoda) really struggle to establish just what is wrong on modern cars because the tech is too advanced for their 'Technicians' to cope with.

Good luck. A guy at work with a brand new Audi A4 suffers repeated false emergency stops via the overactive pre-sense system.

 

The Audi dealer keep apologising and 'resetting' the system and that's all they can do.

 

Not good enough on a £30K+ car.

Have you adjusted the collision warning system to medium/the middle setting (whatever it is called)? Found mine was too sensitive when I got it but this sorted it.
