Nightmare with Skoda Move and Fun

Featured Replies

Just picked up my new Citigo (which had a built in satnav that you clip in... now I am to use my phone!  I've downloaded the app, connected/synced to my car.... but the maps just will not download!!!  It's been at 0% for the last hour!!!  Any magical ideas anyone.  I really need it tomorrow!!!

Could be for a number of reasons,

phones memory full?

Glitch (try uninstalling and re-downloading)

or it could be due to the make of your phone?

let us know if you get it sorted.

Mine wouldn’t download the maps until I connected to my broadband at home, it didn’t work over 3G, my phone is iPhone 6.  Don’t get too excited about the maps software though, my standalone Garmin is streets.ahead!

Hi both.  Thank you for your comments.  I have just enough room on my smartphone for the maps and I've tried my 4G and my home WiFi with no joy. Having read the reviews about it I don't think I'll loose sleep about it. I used Google maps today, slotted the phone in the holder provided and it worked perfectly well.  It just didn't speak to me so not sure why.

Thanks again both

The Move and Fun app is pretty crap to be honest.

This. Been out over a year and they can't even be bothered to fix the MPG bug that limits the display to a max 49.9 regardless. All the fault of the Android phone operating system apparently. And the main stereo itself is hopelessly awkward to use, I'd rather have the old system with the PID and CD player.

My daughter has a Peugeot 108 and the entertainment system in that is miles ahead of the Citigo's. Nice large touchscreen and comes with DAB as standard as well.

If the Citigo’s Display was touchscreen it would’ve been alittle better.

I don't see why they couldn’t have put the entertainment system from the Fabia in the Citigo! Maybe one day..

As to the Peugeot 108 I personally don’t like the entertainment system, in terms of looks, it looks clunky and old but with a good amount of tech in it. It just needed to be designed better in my opinion.

Do they still have that annoying floating instrument above the steering wheel? That’s the main reason I wouldn’t get an Aygo, Peugeot or Citroen!!

how on earth do you delete old destinations! my phone app Move&fun won't let me choose a new address. I've reverted to my old satnav that sticks to the windscreen, Tom Tom is tons easier to manage. No cd disk drive either, the manual is hell to read.

Not managed to find out how to delete them either, nothing obvious or down the obscure route.

I hear the equivalent app for the VW up is compatible and a hell of a lot better. may be worth using that instead.

I've even found the Up! app a faff. I just use android auto in the cradle now. Pity really.

Did anyone work out how to delete old destinations from the app. Every one I've ever used is still in there, I'd hoped clearing the cache may help but no. Sort of uninstalling the app then re installing it I can't see any other option.

I use my Samsung s7 in the cradle with android auto and Google maps, it's perfect for  me.

I play Google play music on it too.

All of it comes through the car speakers.

Sorry,old post,ignore my comments
