Colleague gets ASBO for "cruzin" in his saxo

Featured Replies

Just had a chat with the owner of a heavily modified Saxo that's parked in our company car park. Iguess he must be 18 at most and has just been given an ASBO for doing a burn out at a cruise.

If he collects another 2 in 6 months they can take his car and crush it.

Shifty - you've been warned.

He freely admits to McDonalds car park being a regular "hang out" for him and his mates ;)

LOL that's what you get for owning a Paxo ;)

Lets hope he gets caught again within 2-6 months

So, was he actually arrested for it at the time?

Its a first to me, and interesting to know.

Plus what an irresponsible thing to do in a car park where people are walking around. He might of killed someone if he had lost control.

If it had been an empty carpark then he'd probably been told to move on etc, caution type thing. Can't see the point in burnouts personally, but then I never have, not even when I was 18 :)

Risky & stupid IMHO to do it near people, but that's probably the reason for the ASBO...

The only thing in Shifty's favour is.....He might loose control and destroy McDonalds..

possibly the ASBO was for driving a saxo.......

Anybody who loses control of a FWD car whilst wheelspinning needs to get a life.

I still hope to obtain an ASBO I would see it as a badge of honor. Wonder what the funniest way to get one would be?

Excellent news. Round here its not just car parks! Where do they get the money from for their Subaru's and BMW,s.........................................................er??? A lot of corner shops?.......er???

whats dangerous about doing a burnout then??

how exactly can you "lose control" when doing a burnout??

a true burnout is done with the handbrake on so quite how you could "lose control" and kill someone whilst sat still with your handbrake on i don't know.

Top Ten reasons are apparently

Graffiti (sticking up Briskoda banners)

Abusive and intimidating language (shouting at ch4vs)

Excessive Noise (My exhaust, and a few others)

Littering (well bits do fall of Skodas all the time)

Drunken Behaviour (well, only if Loz isn't driving)

Initimidating Groups of people (your average Briskoda meet :D)

Fly Posting (for the next meet)

Unlicensed street traders (Shifty selling fish & chips away from his premises, at a meet)

Ticket Touting (for the next meet)

Drug dealing (NOS)

Sounds like Briskoda will be ASBO'd soon enough! :D

Crap handbrake?????? :)

I dont do McDonalds.

Maybe his asbo was given by the food police ??

Anyway, can't beat the smell of burning rubber.

Quiet easily Bengie.

The handbrake cable could snap surging the car forward loosing control.

The rear wheel may find some oil/diesel whilst being dragged foward and loose grip surging the car foward loosing control.

It's irresponsible and he deserved what he got.

Anyway' date=' can't beat the smell of burning rubber.[/quote'] :naughty: :naughty: :naughty:

prison will make a man out of him :P

Or a woman, you never know,

As they say when you go in your a$$ is like this >o<

and how often does a handbrakes cable snap??

if the wheels are spinning wildly then the car won't be moving so quite how it would find some oil i don't know and it doesn't matter if either happened as if the wheels are spinning then it isn't exactly going to shoot forwards really is it?

Can we see you do a burnout in your Octavia, Bengie ;) Could be interesting.

reckon it would just spaz...

loose = Not fastened, restrained, or contained

lose = To be unsuccessful in retaining possession of

if the wheels are spinning wildly then the car won't be moving so quite how it would find some oil i don't know

You'll easily find the oil due to the only tw*ts that actually do 'burnouts' drive such patheticaly underpowered vehicles they have to pour oil or diesel onto the road surface then find a speed bump to rest the back wheels against because the handbrake isn't actually strong enough to hold a vehicle still.

Personally i've never seen the point in burnouts/ handbrake turns etc, they give no indication of driving skill whatsoever, nor any idication of how powerfull or manly you or your car is, infact - quite the opposite is normally true - your average 'burnout boy' is usually a 17 year old spotty wimp in a 1.0 saxo with no girlfriend!!

No one with a decent car would bother putting those kind of stresses on the engine/gearbox/driveshafts etc, it's a sure sign of immaturity - I like cars, I like driving fast, I like doing trackdays etc, but what is the point of a burnout? please explain?
