skoda octavia servicing

Featured Replies

i only do less than 5k miles per year so dealer put my service interval to every 2 years just had 1st done so next year all i should need is mot then full service year after is that ok or should i be getting other things done like brake fluid change or cambelt change i got 1.4tsi 150

Welcome.

Getting Oil & Filter changed every 2 years is one thing, going 2 year before a car gets inspected when doing low miles is not 'Simply Clever'.

Bad Dealership Employee advice there IMHO.

Are you checking tyres /  pressures, oil level etc?

The Brake Fluid change interval is @ 3 years and then each 2,

Low mileage cars can get Moisture / H2o in the system the same as high mileage, so that is the Service Schedule Guidelines.

I doubt the Cam Belt will be needed.  But then no idea how or where your low mileage is done, it could be at Track Days or the Drag Strip.

Pollen Filter will need doing likely, that is a 2 year thing, maybe even the Air Filter, but it needs inspecting,

again a location / use thing, your low mileage might be sitting behind city busses spewing out soot only you know.
