I've got an s7 and it charges fine through my case wirelessly I have a Samsung wireless charger but it's a  bit of a faff if you dont get it straight on the charger block it doesn't charge. I suspect unless I have something to hold it straight in the box (foam pads etc) the same is going to happen.

yes but is it a magnetic case + holder with charging? xvida.com

No it's not magnetic and the charger is not a holder its just a square puck thing i missunderstood your statement.

cool!

unfortunately i have a crappy bolero with no satnav so need the phone on view for mapping, the PO was a cheapskate and there were little or no extras so i'm retrofitting everything, unfortunately i cant justify a nice MIB2 amundsen for the stupid money and hassle of reprogramming.

Waiting for the OnePlus 6 to come out... not sure it will fit in that space :(

Not much use to me unless wireless carplay ever becomes an option

BTW, on the Cupra forums they are mentioning that cars with this option are currently being prevented from being delivered.

It seems the wireless box interferes with some protected frequencies in the UK and they have to disable the signal amplifier.

Just ordered one of these off of Amazon and it should be here tomorrow to fit into my ‘19 vRS. Any top tips or is it as straight forward as the video makes out?

So in case anyone wants to do this on a UK model, here are a few thoughts as the video and instructions are mostly correct:

  1. Once you undo the first T20 screw on either side, undo the other obvious T20 screw as it will give more range to be able to look up under the ‘ash tray’ area.
  2. There appears to be no phone booster and cable at least on the vRS and there’s no need to remove the first cable shown in the instructions
  3. There is no magic move, hidden tab to remove the gear stick trim, you just need to take a deep breath and pull it from the front edge
  4. The wire that provides power to the light in the ash tray is much shorter than in the photo as it is bound into the wiring loom. To give yourself a little more scope, unclip the loom from the frame in the front passenger foot well.
  5. Being a right hand drive car, the fuse box is behind the glove box and so the 10mm nut does not exist. In order to complete the circuit, I attached the ring connector to the obvious T30(?) silver screw that is behind the glove box area that mounts against a metal plate.

Hope this proves useful!
