Has anyone put better bulbs in the standard xenon lamps?

 

I'm finding my headlights good but not amazing.

Depends on what you want to upgrade.

The xenon “bulbs” can be changed for a different colour temperature.

Standard OEM colour temperature is 4300K which is closest to sunlight.

6000K is a popular upgrade which is more “blue” looking.

 

If you want more brighter xenon “bulbs” then that means upgrading the ballasts. Standard OEM wattage is 35W. You could get hold of 55W ballasts for increased brightness, but that decreases life span of the “bulbs”.

Put in Osram Xenarc Night Breaker (d3s) bulbs. Gives a nice upgrade over the oems.

The xenons are D3S type.

you want better output - don't go any higher than 5000k.

you want to look whiter, but don't care about performance (output) - then stick to between 4200k and 4700k.

- OSRAM Xenarc Night Breaker Unlimited D3S
