Thinking back fondly to the Summer picture thread, I thought it might be good to kick off with some Autumn pictures. I'm thinking drifts of Autumn leaves, frosty crease lines, and an increasing amount of mud.

 

I'll start things off with a few atmospheric Lake District shots of my SEL, which I'm disappointed to say I wasn't even present for - my parents borrowed it to take on their holidays last week....

Thanks - the 'old bird' is a semi-pro photographer, so she knows I'd never let her live down if they were terrible.... 

These are my amateur attempts - first was taken yesterday morning on the way to a site to the south of Bury St Edmunds, and the second is the view out of our office window in Stow-Cum-Quy, north of Cambridge, looking towards Anglesey Abbey in the distance.

(I'll admit to a slight retouch/enhancement via SnapSeed to bring the autumn colours out!)
