Rear brake caliper

Featured Replies

Hi all, long time no speak, I trust you are all well .....I am looking for recommendations of where to buy a rear drivers side brake caliper ....I replaced discs and pads today and one piston was seized, managed to get it moving but by the heat in the disc on short journeys I'd say it's still binding on .....searching the internet I've found calipers anything from £38 up to £120 ......any advice gladly received thx

Brisky has been quiet of late, hasn't it.

Did you find one bud? Guess you have by now.

Needing one myself i think best option would be carparts4less, Pagid 133442900 at circa £62 after giving them your old one back.

I have found a local garage hopefully supplying a new trw and fitting for £110.

Hi, yes .....there is a fab auto parts place over the road from me that supplied my discs and pads...went back to them and they had genuine re con ones on the shelf ....pagid might well be what was on the box and £62 sounds about right ....after I took the old one back, they returned £18 ....the recon one has new piston and seals and new paint ...new really ....fitted it myself and then had the car serviced a week later with brake fluid change so as to make sure bled properly and an mot... which it past with no advisories :-).... £110 fitted sounds really good .....it is a dirty and fiddly job to do yourself

If you search my posts I replaced one a year or two ago from some company in the Midlands, I think I just searched on eBay.

About £40 if I recall.

That got me a reconditioned caliper, all clean with new seals, ready to fit and a tenner cash back when I returned my old one in a pre-paid bag... Champion.
