Had a S3 SE Technology delivered last week, it has normal headlight, without the LED DRLs

 

does anyone know how to open the back to swap the bulb for a white LED bulb for the DRLs? I couldn’t see how when I had the bonnet up earlier.

Its not a simple job.

I changed mine last weekend and although its a pain, its not all that difficult.  To be honest not sure it was worth the effort...

 

Remove wheel, undo around 10 screws holding the front part of wheel arch liner in place and pull it back so you can reach in to the headlight.  Use a sharp knife to cut into the plastic on the back of the drl holder and then you can break away the rest of the cover with your fingers.

 

Remove and replace DRL then buy 2x rubber covers for indicators which fit perfectly over the drl back.

Note to self. Make sure the car comes with factory fitted xenon's!
