hello every one i have carp skoda felicia  but have an issue on first start  the starter flap close much than it would i think that make car  hesitationt and rpm is low due to flap failure second the pull down unit not working

Ok what is a carp Skoda Felicia, what is a pull down flap, what is starter flap ?

i mean  carburateur and the flap and pull down unit it is part of it

Contact ehabmobarak on private messenger. He is from Egypt and he will help you. I gave him a lot of documents for his Felicia with carburetor, including the service manual for the carburetor.

@mikefelicia "carp" is an anagram or a typo! I'd guess that "starter flap" is someone using a second language and they mean "choke". "Pull down flap" I'm not so sure about unless carburetor Fellies have a manual hot/cold air intake selection.

What accident did he sustain? At work? On the road?

i want to remove carburateur  with my self any advices when removing

You will need a new gasket between carburetor and intake gallery. The new gasket must seal perfectly. Any vacuum leaks around gasket will create big problems.

yes the carburetor is based on vacuum also the manual is very useful thx Ricardo but i have question about what is pulldown and ttv units  as i think my pulldown unit is fail

You have to understand how the carburetor works. In the manual I gave you (starting with page 13) you can read about every phase of its operation. Read carefully and you'll have all the answers you need.

yes you are right there is a description for pulldown unit but still i have no information about the job of ttv (thermo time valve)

TTV gives a temperature-dependent time delay for the second stage of pulldown action on the choke flap. The colder the weather the longer the delay before the pulldown's second movement. (As far as I can remember).

Basically Wino is right. Here is an excerpt from Haynes about the carburetor on Felicia (and other models). That should clear all your unknowns. For your information the TTV is useful only at very low temperatures below 0. You will never experiment such temperatures in Egypt unless somebody will play God with the weather.

thx man i checked the ttv with ohmmeter and give me the right value also i checked the vacuum of pull down unit and its working and the float height it was 30mm

i have a little question is this hole is closed by manufacturer or it should be open like another one

i found a strange thing in second stage gate the jets  of the second stage is not same as the first ((original)) are those jets affect on second stage mechanism

It doesn't matter. The gasket under the carburetor will cover the area.

What jets?? Those are screws, not jets...:o

My friend, it doesn't matter if the head of the screw is for Philips or flat screwdriver. Fuel doesn't exit through them (omg).

 

Moreover, the second stage of the carburetor has nothing to do with the cold start. The second stage opens only after the first stage is 40-50% open. It adds more fuel to the engine at high loads.

 

You have to concentrate on cold start (choke) mechanism. Read more about it to fully understand how it works. You can't diagnose stuff without proper knowledge.

man this part is  very important for me as the injection level is not true on my carburetor

is ths mark is correct as i open the throttle complete to the end 10 times

if any thing is wrong please modify

when i remove the cone filter from the fuel in hose it was damaged can its absence  cause real issue
