Octavia 3 Puddle . Boarding / Courtesy Lights (Under door, not mirror)

Featured Replies

Hello,

First time poster - found this how to guide:

where @Bowders1 has kindly shown how he retrofitted an LED strip under his door panel to provide puddle lighting when the doord open. I've got the OEM puddle lights in the mirrors, but they only light up outside of the door, which is great when you're approaching the car in the dark, but useless for stepping out of the car in a dark, puddly car park, so this mod looks just the ticket.

However, on looking at the bottom edge of the door, there appears to be an empty space for a courtesy light, maybe for OEM puddle lights. Is there a light festoon that fits in this space? Superskoda don't appear to have anything for it. Has anyone investigated this space?

Just wanted to check before I purchase an LED light strip similar to @Bowders1's recommendation. The product he recommends is no longer available, but I've scouted out this product on ebay:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/142445204594 which looks like it will fit the bill.

Thanks in advance!
