Hi, I have a 2005 Fabia Mk1 Elegance automatic. When started the engine starts smoothly, when I drive it the revs constantly vary as I'm driving by about 100-200 revs. It doesn't effect the speed, it sort of pulses.

I've had a bloke check the engine management and there are no errors. Has anyone seen anything like it?

 

I've changed the sensor that links the engine to the gearbox.

Which engine is it please?

I guess it's the BBY engine, 75BHP 1.4 16V?

Such pulsing is usually indicative of an air leak between the throttle body and the engine, first thing to check is the brake servo vacuum hose, they always split around the barbs.
