electric boot, question to owners

Featured Replies

to those who already have their car with this feature, i red on Kodiag forum that you can unintentionally open the boot when you key fob is in your pocket, i guess the button is too sensitive or raised on the surface too much

has skoda done it different this time?

my biggest fear is the boot get open when car is parked against a wall or another car back to back

Hi

on my Karoq if you press the boot key once it unlocks the boot but doesn’t power open, you have to hold the boot button in on the key fob for a few seconds before the power function works.  They boot will stop if there is an obstruction, but might scratch the paint if it was a brick wall.

thats good to know, sensible.

regarding the electric boot operation stop, i think what you are describing is boot being opened and hit an object, i guess yes it will stop because it will be jammed against and damaged

when i tested Kodiaq, i stood in front of it and it hit me, there is no proximity sensor which is a shame, i think this is most of manufactures suffer lack of..
