It looks likely that I'll be driving a mate to Wrexham for him to look a potential GT4 he wants to buy, this weekend, which means....

I'll be driving past Oswestry and Chirk... Will the memories be so vivid that I'll want to relive the National Route from September??? How much temptation will be needed for me to turn left on the A483 off the A5, instead of turning right to Wrexham....?

After all, it would only add another 250 miles to the 500 mile round trip, and I still have the most expertly produced National route guide... I'm going to see how the weather / mood takes me as I'll have others in the car, but it could be done.

I would have met up with you for a little blat through Wales but I'm away ggging at the weekend - BUGGER!!!

Ahem - I figured I'd better post that I'm not ACTUALLY going to be reliving the National, but I felt a bit of nostalgic passion as I looked at the route map to Wrexham and saw I'd be going past Chirk again.

I think I'll stick to my normal plan, and look forward to the Derby thingy in December instead... Not that I wouldn't be up for re-living that route again some other time....

Jason, a nice route would be to pick up the route from Builth or Brecon (you know that road you went down past the really obvious T junction ), anyway pick that up, skip the resevoir bit and loop back to Wrexham via the A5, would work out about 160miles, less if you don't use the A5 but A467(check) to Welshpool, or take the diaganol (obvious on a map and very very single track )

Obviously just a transposition error. What Jason meant was "Jabba,ring" i.e. the next progressiom after a Jabba remap is a visit to the Nurburgring...
