If the discs are not rigidly supported by the hubs, perhaps they distort over time?

  • After having 3 sets of discs and pads I have established through lots of research and reading that it’s not the discs to fault.   they are actually much to large for the car as they are used

  • To summarise: you have a light car that you don't drive fast, with brakes fitted to heavier vehicles and you have got through 3 sets of rotors and pads and only one report of having a one-off similar

  • My first one was like that. Warpage started to become noticeable from about 3000 miles. I don't think it's the torque level, more the way they get to the torque. Second one was almost fine until wheel

Newbie & first post. I have had what I thought was warped brakes 4 times, all as described. I found this & have now solved my braking problems. This website won't let me upload the link. So Google "Napa brake judder" & you will find the technical document which helped me resolve my issues.
Hope this helps.

Welcome.

Which of the faults was it that your car had & how did you resolve the judder?

yes - a menu of 100 bullet points doesn't narrow the solution down much.

Bad quality hubs is a known problem on some early cars. No number of new disks or pads will fix that.
