light levels in rear passenger compartment

Featured Replies

about to purchase a Superb hatch with black leather / alcantara interior with sunset tint. worried it may be too dark / oppressive for my 2 year old girl. i do live in sunny NZ, though

distant pickup, so no chance to test drive. those who carry their young kids in in similar cars, care to chime in ?

In my S II, I can easily fit two isofix seats in the back with space only for someone very slim in reality between the seats.

My superb s3 has black leather and sunset tint from B-pillar.

It isn't to dark at all during rainy days - the sunset tint isn't all that dark at least not in Sweden.

The lightmodule in the back is equipped with LED modules. I usually turn these on during evenings if i want to keep my children awake.

+1.

not dark at all in the rear with black interior/leather.

even with the shades up.

i have a hatch though.  not sure wat difference the wagon would make.

i'm located in Oz. ;)

I have black leather and tints.  It's fine back there for our 4 and 6 year old kids.  The tints seem to be more for privacy than making it dark in the back.

The Superb 3's cabin is big and airy enough to never feel that it's too dark, nor claustrophobic.  My kids love the rear seats and the leg room they have, no complaints at all.

The panoramic roof brightens up the cabin a good amount. With everything else trimmed in dark materials, it works for me. I did this on my old Octavia VRS and have the pano roof on my sportline hatch. I do tend to like thhe sunroofs on my cars.:)
