I am happy but also slightly embarrased to report that my vRS does not appear to suffer the same fault, on the 2 occasions I have briefly revved beyond 5k I've suffered no ill effects.

Hope that Shifty manages to sort this one way or the other.

It seems to have cleared itself. Tested extesively last night, it pulls to its booked top speed and a little more besides. Happy bunny again.
