Thanks for your views/comments chaps.

It's a bit disheartening. Here's hoping for a speedy resolution.

Update - my dealer has been instucted to check that all pipes and wires are correct, and if not, replace as needed. If they are all present and correct, the turbo unit is to be replaced.

So far so, good.

So let me get this straight.... you've knackered the turbo after how long exactly??

:D

Anyway' date=' just so you know, that even with intermittant boost, I still mullered a 55 plate, and an 06 plate focus st this evening. So all is not lost.[/quote']

So a Skoda with a bad leg still stuffs orange Folvo's:thumbup:

Good stuff -- glad to see that they've got back to you quickly, hopefully be a fairly straight forward fix

Will be able to repeat your exploits with an ST when I get mine - one of our valetors in work has a '55 ASBO ST :D

Apparently, they are quite keen to get it sorted. And now I have a Superb V6 tdi to play with for the weekend. So, at least I know I wont be stranded anywhere.

Can't fault my dealer at all.

 WOODHEADS

My Uncle has bought he last 2 cars from them -- a good bunch of people by all accounts, they spent a great deal of time sourcing his last car for him --- and got him exactly the model and colour he wanted in the end( Mk1 PD Ambiente)

Don't spose the Superb will see of an ASBO's

Well to keep yourself busy you could always post a couple of your excellent piccies -- get out and take some of the Superb!!

I wanted to take some of the superb' date=' but someone BAILED ON ME tonight!!

how rude! lol![/color']

Looks like 'the big V' could be the second new vrs from the 06 gang to go back to the dealers

Nothing as dramatic as yours tho so I won't bore you with the details

You can't say that, we need details, DETAILS i say!

If you insist :D I did warn you tho,

The heated rear screen switch is not a nice crisp action such as the ASR switch, it doesnt like being switched off again.

Now I feel all OCD compared with Dave's probs

Sounds like the switches in the old Favorit  might just need realigning.

That bl*dy switch still sticks on mine, it's due to a poorly worked out curve in the dash that stops it. Will try wedging it with a CC or something one day

Shifty, any news yet?

Yes, the news is the mechanic has been working all day and not managed to get the turbo off. Looks like Wednesday for the return of my car.

Sounds like he needs either a larger hammer or a Ross ;)

When I had trouble with the switch the car was frozen as it was 7 am and I had just finished a night shift. However, when I went out in the car later that morning everything was fine and has remained fine since:confused:

Whats the max rpm u hit with ur car shifty?

Hopefully once that's done you should be good to go

It's not easy getting those turbo's out -- they are quite bulky with not much room to playwith -- cue one Skoda Technician with skinned Knuckles !

Hang on, all day and can't get the turbo off? Surely its only a few bolts and a couple of pipes isn't it? When we realised mine had been bolted on with the outlet pointing up, not down - It only took about an hour to whip it off, spin it round 180 degrees, and refit.

Hope you get it back soon, Dave. Meanwhile you can relax in superb luxury. :D

Not that easy Jason - its all one piece - including the manifold !! and it'll be a

be-atch to get off -- and let's be fare, they wont have done one yet - so they'll be taking there time

Dont over rev the car to much though, you will write a fault code the ecu that reads "Engine revs exceeded, warranrty void".

has this been seen on a skoda?
